Vellaruku Powder:
Vellaruku powder, derived from the leaves of the Calotropis gigantea plant is a traditional herbal remedy used in various cultures for its medicinal properties.

இலைகளிலிருந்து பெறப்பட்ட வெள்ளருகு தூள் ஒரு பாரம்பரிய மூலிகை மருந்து ஆகும்.

Botanical Name : Enicostema axillare
Common Name : Indian Whitehead
Tamil Name : Vellarugu, Arukumuli, Chakkiraviraiyanantan
Hindi : छोटा चिरायत Chota chirayata, katvinayi, नामे Naame, Nahli, Nawari 
Kannada : ಚಿಕ್ಕಾ ಚಿರಾಯತ Chikka chiraayuta 
Malayalam : വല്ലാരി Vallari, Vellaruku 
Sanskrit : Mamajjakah, नागजिह्वा Nagajihva, Nahi
Telugu Name : Nelagolimidi, Nelagurugudu-

The plant is used in folk medicine to diabetes mellitus, rheumatisum, abdominal ulcers, hernia, swelling, itching and insect poisoning.

The bitter-tasting plant is used as a laxative, stomachic and tonic. It is dried, powdered and mixed with honey, then used as a blood purifier and in the treatment of dropsy, rheumatism, abdominal ulcers, hernia, swellings, itches and insect poisoning

Vellaruku Powder

Ingredients:
● Vellaruku powder
● Water or rose water
 
Method:
● Take 1-2 teaspoons of Vellaruku powder in a small bowl.
● Gradually add water or rose water to the powder while stirring to form a smooth paste. The consistency should be thick enough to stay on the skin.
● Apply the paste directly to the affected areas of the skin where you are experiencing itching.
● Leave the paste on for 15-20 minutes.
● Rinse off the paste with warm water and tap the skin dry with a clean towel.
● You can use this treatment 2-3 times a day until the itching subsides.
 
தேவையான பொருட்கள்:
● வெள்ளருக்கு பொடி
● தண்ணீர் அல்லது ரோஸ் வாட்டர்
 
முறை:
● ஒரு கிண்ணத்தில் 1-2 தேக்கரண்டி வெள்ளருக்கு பொடி மற்றும் தண்ணீர் அல்லது ரோஸ் வாட்டர் சேர்த்து ஒரு கலவையை எடுத்துக் கொள்ளவும். 
● அரிப்பு, சிரங்கு, சொறி இருக்கும் பகுதியில் இந்த கலவையை  பயன்படுத்துங்கள்.
● 15-20 நிமிடங்களுக்கு பிறகு மிதமான நீரில் கழுவவும் இதை ஒரு நாளைக்கு 2-3 முறை பயன்படுத்தலாம்.
